Event Details

In this webinar, InterChina Consulting will present their views on the new strategic and corporate roadmap for foreign companies in China. InterChina will draw on its recent survey of nearly 300 senior executives in China and conversations with over 100 global CEOs and executives, together with its direct experience in strategy projects and corporate finance transactions over the last year.

The past years have been complex both globally and in China. There has been a shift in China's development model amidst continued geopolitical uncertainties. This has resulted in a short-term economic slowdown and a deep transition in terms of technology, policies and business models. As we enter 2024, the dust is now settling. For many companies, there is increasing clarity on "what to do in China", and attention is now turning to 'how to do it' – it has become time for action and determination.

Key Topics

1. Situation Assessment: How companies perceive the investment environment and

the balance between opportunity and risk for their businesses in China.

2. Strategic Direction ('what to do'): What is required to succeed in China:

scale; deep localisation; playing local ecosystems; balancing opportunities, etc.

3. Best Practices ('how to do it'): The focus this year, looking at Multinational Corporations Benchmarks, such as novel ways to achieve growth; how to adapt to technology trends; investment strategies and Mergers & Acquisitions / Joint Ventures tactics; Headquarters-China relations, governance and organizational models, etc.
